ENGLISH VERSION
Last Saturday March 9th the PBRJ tour hit Navacerrada in Madrid for the very first time.
The centered location helped to gather snowboarders from all over Spain: we had some crews from Sierra Nevada and Pyrenees too, and of course all the heads from Madrid.
The set up was prepared by Playground and designed by Yeyo and Alvaro and was enjoyed by everybody. It was not conventional and fun (and a bit difficult) to ride.
Around 80 contestants signed up and were soon ready for the jams while the weather had mercy on us.
The 15- category was full of kids hungry for tricks, some of them like Currito, Pablo Durruti and Mario Prestel were super impressive. The Girls killed it too especially Gore who had it quite clear: she came for the victory without any care about hard slams.
The expedition gang from Font Romeu got it controlled and Edu Martinez won for the 3rd time the 16+ division. Congrats Edu! Next year it’ll be time to step up to the Open division!
Talking about the Opens, the real show was to come, as the level went up and everybody witnessed unbeliavable tricks. In Zone 1, they started to connect tricks from the top bar to the rail over the barrier!!! Marc Salas did incredible tricks with perfect style but the hard part to the judges was they coudn´t break the tie between Juan Polanco and Fran Masaguer. They got the same exact score!! So the judges decided to split the prizes. The crew was hyped and everyone enjoyed the great sess. After the BBQ, prize ceremony was held and giveaways were given away to the public…
Thanks to Yeyo, Alvaro Ilovemyboard, Toñin, Nines, Saav, Roke, Iñigo, Daktak, Estación del Puerto de Navacerrada, Nitro snowboards and Burn Energy drinks, also big thanks to everyone who showed up enjoy the day with us.
